Yakon is first seen when Babidi sends two of his minions to fetch him so he can battle Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Shin after Pui Pui is killed by Vegeta, but Yakon eats the minions that Babidi sends. Unfortunately for the Majin footsoldiers, Yakon would eat any of them that came to get him. Yakon spent most of his time in this chamber, but would be released if Babidi needed him.
After being put under the wizard's control, Yakon was given his own room in the spaceship, a chamber shrouded in darkness. At some point in time, he was controlled by Babidi. Yakon is from a land shrouded in darkness and somehow built up a reputation as one of the most powerful and feared creatures in the universe, to the point that even Shin had heard of him.
Yakon is a voracious monster with an apparently insatiable appetite, as he greets the Dragon Team by asking which one he should eat first, despite the fact that he had already devoured two messengers Babidi sent him only minutes before. Unlike most henchman of Babidi who have the Majin symbol on their forehead, Yakon has it on his chest. Yakon is a monster that sports a large, retractable claw in each of his forearms.
